Below are the show me tell me question that you may be asked at the beggining of your Practical Driving Test. Read the questions and see if you can awnser them, then to find out if your right hover the mouse over the blank white space below each question to show the answer.

Show Me

1. Explain how you would check that the power steering is working before starting a journey.

2. Open the bonnet, identify where you would check the engine oil level and tell me how you would check that the engine has sufficient oil.

3. Open the bonnet, indentify where you would check the engine coolant level and tell me how you would check that the engine has correct level.

4. Show me how you would check the parking brake for excessive wear.

5. Identify where the windscreen washer reservoir is and tell me how you would check the windscreen washer level.

6. Open the bonnet, identify where the brake fluid reservoir is and tell me how you would check that you have a safe level of hydraulc brake fluid.

7. Show me how you would check that the horn is working (off road only)

8. Show me how you would chack that the direction indicators are working.

9. Show me how you would check that the headlight and tail lights are working.

10. Show me how you would clean the windscreen using the windscreen washer and wipers.

11. Show me how you would set the demister controls to clear all the windscreen effectively, this should include both front and rear screens.

12. Show me how you would switch on the rear fog lights and explain when you would use them.

13. Show me how you would switch your headlights from dipped to main beam and explain how you would know the main beam was on whilst inside the car.

1. Tell me how you would check that the brake lights are working on this car.

2. Tell me how you would check that the brakes are working before starting a journey.

3. Tell me how you would find information for the recommended tyre pressures for this car and how tyre pressure should be checked.

4. Tell me how you would check the tyres to ensure they have sufficient tread depth and that their general condition is safe to use on the road.

5. Tell me how you would make sure your head restraint is correctly adjusted so it provides the best protection in the event of a crash.

6. Tell me how you would know if there was a prblem with your Anti lock braking system.
